Have you noticed none of those signs say FOR SALE? They are just ads for the broker and not the home. If you want to put that up in front of my home to advertise you and not my home I will have to charge you. I’m thinking $100 per day the home is on the market.

“Balloons Blow!” I’m a realtor and an environmentalist. Balloons are a huge danger to birds and animals and a terrible pollutant. My real estate team has made a commitment to never use balloons. If you feel you really need balloons there are fake balloons that you can purchase that you can reuse and won’t fly away and endanger any of rapidly decreasing bird population.

Hey Matt,

I think most brokers use sign riders in order to be able to use the same signs for homes that are closed, pending, etc. Of course a “for sale” sign will make people more likely to stop, so putting a small “pending” rider on a for sale sign might be the best of both worlds.

I came to this article while researching “if” the real estate sign (from a design point of view) needs to actually state, “For Sale” and notice that over half of the featured signs don’t say that. So….that is interesting. I didn’t want to have “For Sale” on our new signs and apparently many don’t these days.

Solar power is great for signs, but might be like candy for neighborhood vandals…
