For instance, how is “teamericdifficultlastname.com” better than, for instance, Sold.us?

I actually have the domain that is offered by the NAR (.realtor website). It is offered FREE to members of NAR. Also, if I recall correctly, it is not legal for a real estate agent to use the word “REALTOR®” in a website domain due to it being trademarked. 🙂

I’m a new REALTOR® (licensed in 2/2022) and before I was licensed I was a graphic designer, website developer and social media marketer. It is not impossible to rank 1st page in a busy market in decent time. I’ve done it, and I’ve not even killed myself over posting and sharing every single day. Now I do have A LOT of automations in place, and circular reach, but all my accounts point at each other. I’ve also got 20 years of knowledge to back me up where most don’t so I went in knowing how to SEO, Keyword, connect pieces via API/Zapier, basically make my website work for me-connect with my CRM, autopost to FB, Instagram, Youtube, etc.

However, with the right systems in place, it can be done. If I were to build my site from scratch on wordpress it would have ranked sooner, higher and look even better, but with me being new and needing to concentrate on actual real estate work I did give up my ‘control’ (back end, coding, etc) I have just enough coding reach in my website to allow me to connect certain parts. Once I have all my systems in place I will be building a custom wordpress site with custom CRM that will be proprietary to my needs

Yes! TLD aka Top Level Domain is correct. TDL is a typo!

Personally, I think two syllable TLDs are a little clunky sounding and a little harder to pair with a brand name. That said, could be a good way to snag a domain name that you otherwise wouldn’t have.

Hi Dario,

Competing with Zillow/Realtor AND established brokerages with a brand new website is incredibly difficult and time consuming. Even if you made this your full time job you would still struggle. Domain Authority rises slowly, and to get to a position where ranking in the first page is even possible can and will take years in many markets.

Sorry, but this is totally wrong.
Getting leads by SEOing a real estate website is very doable.
Don’t understand why people keep saying stuff like this.
