Hi Kimberly – thank you for you question! Yes, we have an article suited just for that: https://theclose.com/best-states-real-estate-agent/. If you look at our full data, you will see that Arkansas is ranking number 14 for agent competition, meaning that that area is not flooded with agents, but still maintains healthy competition. Check out the article for more info!

Iam 57 and live in a small rural area of Arkansas and trying to decide if our market here is flooded with agents.I have thought about real estate for awhile and always talked myself out of it. I find myself revisiting the idea. I would like to have a income again and feel a part of our community. As a previous small business owner Ive decided against that path at this time.Do you have any thoughts on how to determine if my area is indeed flooded with agents? Thank you!

Bless you for truly tellling the story as it is. In spite of the ‘fairy story’ about the new agent that gets 5 closings in their first month – the hard truth is that for the vast majority – 99% – it takes at least a couple months to get that first check. And even after years in the business there will be months with no pay. And thank you for encouraging people to make serious consideration before deciding to work in real estate. I’m in Florida where the bar to entry is far too low. Sadly the results of that are all too clear.
