Methodology: How We Selected the Best Real Estate Software Programs

Our expert researchers, agents, writers, and editors at The Close researched and reviewed dozens (if not hundreds) of real estate apps and software. We analyzed each software and based our top picks on the following criteria:

  • Pricing
    • How does each software’s price compare to competitors? We evaluated the cost of each software, how much each subscription package is, the value of features provided, and whether it offers a free trial.
  • Utility
    • We reviewed each software’s functionality and features, focusing on whether its tools streamline workflows, make agents’ lives easier, or complicate tasks even more.
  • Ease of Use
    • We considered how intuitive and accessible each software is for agents of different skill levels. Was the real estate software program easy to navigate, even for beginner agents? How user-friendly was the interface? Does the software allow agents to focus on their tasks without getting bogged down by technical difficulties?
  • Reputation
    • We evaluated each realtor’s software’s reputation by reviewing verified user reviews and expert opinions. How has each software’s user base grown over the years? Real estate software programs with a strong track record of reliability and positive reviews from industry experts were considered for this list.

My Verdict on Follow Up Boss & Why You Should Trust It

As a real estate technology expert with years of experience implementing these tools within a brokerage, I bring a great deal of knowledge and insight into my software reviews. My thoughts on Follow Up Boss are that it’s a powerful, all-inclusive real estate-specific CRM solution. Beginning with an easy-to-use interface and robust automation features, the platform’s ability to handle vital tasks for agents and brokers makes it an extremely valuable tool.

While Follow Up Boss offers numerous benefits, there are some drawbacks. The platform is priced for all the bells and whistles it comes with, but that can be a bit pricey for a smaller team or an independent agent. They also charge fees for added features like marketing tools, lead automation, and website and landing pages.

It’s a game-changing tool to support agents, increase productivity, and help create strong real estate results. It contains all the features that every agent should want to see in their CRM.

Follow Up Boss Alternatives

Although FUB real estate has a well-rounded set of features for real estate professionals, there are a few reasons for looking for an alternative solution for a real estate CRM. Each real estate business is different; hence, what works well for one firm may not be suitable for another. That may be due to certain feature specifications, budget, integration constraints, or the user’s preference. Here are a few alternatives to consider:

As a seasoned writer specializing in real estate technologies, I have spent considerable time researching and interacting with various tools designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of real estate professionals. My experience analyzing and reviewing these platforms allows me to provide insights grounded in industry knowledge and firsthand testing.

The Elevate CRM stands out for its all-in-one real estate CRM approach, integrating essential tools for lead gen and extensive back-office support for brokerages. This streamlines operations, reducing the need to juggle multiple vendors and simplifying the management process. One of Elevate’s most commendable features is its robust support for agents. While the offerings are comprehensive and the support materials are top-notch, it’s worth noting that the platform’s blog has not been updated since 2022. This outdated content could raise concerns about the freshness of their shared knowledge and ongoing engagement with current trends since technology shifts rapidly. However, the overall utility and functionality of Elevate far outweigh this minor drawback, making it a worthwhile consideration for real estate professionals looking to enhance their operational efficiency and market presence.

    Elevate Alternatives

    Realvolve Alternatives

While Realvolve offers comprehensive features designed to streamline operations and enhance productivity, some users might seek specific functionalities or integrations not currently available with Realvolve. Although Realvolve integrates with web-based programs like Gmail, Evernote, and Zapier, agents might want to pursue another platform that integrates with third-party lead generation websites. Alternatively, exploring more affordable options could lead you to consider other alternatives.

What Current Users Think of Realvolve

My assessment of Realvolve and other user Realvolve CRM reviews place it high on the list due to its comprehensive features, intuitive design, and scalability, which are suitable for teams of any size. Recognizing that my view is just one among many, it’s noteworthy that broader user feedback aligns with my perspective, as evidenced by its 4.3 out of 5 rating on GetApp and Software Advice. This collective rating reflects a shared appreciation for what Realvolve brings to the table in the real estate tech arena.

Check out a few Realvolve reviews:

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Realvolve is incredibly customizable, making it the perfect CRM for our team. Workflows are the heart of Realvolve and make the experience as simple and as complex as the user chooses. Other CRMs also allow the user to automate emails and tasks, but the great thing about Realvolve is that it has the ability to branch and make decisions based on the type of transaction or property so we no longer have inappropriate emails go out to a client or a bunch of tasks we need to ignore due to the nature of the situation. Realvolve is a much cleaner experience and their customer service is second to none! They listen to their customers and are constantly evolving Realvolve to best suit the users.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Unbelievable workflows, Google integration, superior transaction management, beautiful user interface, tech support is unbelievable, they actually listen to their users, the CEO and engineering team are actually very in touch with their customers, they are always improving and adding useful features to the CRM, amazing tutorials, webinars, Facebook group and resources. This is more than a CRM. You can build a business and run it all from within Realvolve.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Powerful yet also relatively easy to use (usually CRMs are either really simple and easy to use but don’t do much or they are super powerful but super hard to use).

When probing into the Realvolve reviews that identified limitations, the feedback largely pointed to manageable issues, notably the speed of information retrieval and the ease of accessing data.

    ⭐
In this CRM, there’s a tab that has all notes and sent texts or emails for that contact. When you’re calling a prospect, it is important to be able to review previous notes, and this CRM is terrible with loading the notes. I’m guessing it is due to not enough servers for the program. They need to resolve this as it has a massive negative impact on my ability to efficiently lead generate.

    Key Features of Realvolve

Realvolve is an extremely comprehensive CRM platform with all the essential features for success in the real estate domain. I love its flexibility to customize its use, aligning it with specific goals, such as team expansion, enhancing lead engagement, and leveraging mass SMS texting capabilities. Training & Resources

The platform extends its utility with comprehensive training and resources, ensuring users can maximize their potential. For those opting for the Navigator pricing plan, personalized support, including one-on-one training, setup assistance, and customization services, is an added benefit. This multifaceted approach to user education facilitates a smoother onboarding process and empowers users to tailor the platform to their specific needs, driving productivity and success.

    Document Management

The document management feature in Realvolve increases organization and efficiency, especially through checklists within CRM workflows. As each document is finalized, it can be marked off the list, ensuring nothing is missed.

    Automated Text Messaging

Client engagement receives a significant boost with the text messaging automation feature. Realvolve Pricing

Realvolve clearly outlines its plans for individual users directly on its website, offering straightforward insights into the costs for basic use. Yet, for the Navigator or Team plans, pricing details require a direct contact and demo consultation.

It should also be noted that the difference between the Basic and Accelerate plans is minimal, with just a $5 monthly variance. For those prepared to commit, making a one-time annual payment awards a bonus of two months free. Notably, all plans include a sign-up fee, an essential consideration for agents calculating their investment.

I will say that Zurple offers a powerful lead generation option with exceptional nurturing tools for agents who can spend a little more. It may be a difficult platform for a solo agent, especially newer agents, to jump into software this complex. Not because it’s challenging to learn but because it may be a lot to invest right out of the gate. But, for established agents, Zurple provides a steady source of exclusive leads that can continue to build your business on autopilot.

    Check Out Zurple

    What Is Zurple?

Zurple is a lead generation software that specializes in lead capture and nurturing. The company uses online lead generation strategies to capture leads and employs intelligent lead nurturing on autopilot to increase lead conversion rates. Agents then spend their time making meaningful connections once the lead becomes active.

    infographic presentation how Zurple works
Zurple isn’t just focused on getting leads but on converting those leads into clients. It separates itself from the rest with its post-lead acquisition nurturing quality.

Once a lead is captured, their information is fed directly to the Zurple customer relationship manager (CRM), where “Zurple Auto Conversations” take over. This complex set of reactive nurturing campaigns does the bulk of the lead nurturing for you, including email, SMS texting, MLS property alerts, and more.

These Auto Conversations adjust their flow automatically depending on your lead’s response and website behavior, making their conversion rates and effectiveness very high. When a prospect’s Lead Intelligence Score rises to a certain level, Zurple notifies you to jump in, and you can continue the conversation with a now-active buyer or seller.

One of the best features of Zurple’s lead generation system is the leads are exclusive to the agent. So, no need to worry about competing with other agents for the same lead as you might with a Zillow or realtor.com lead.

Zurple Pricing 3.3 out of 5

Zurple offers a base price with add-ons to give you more flexibility regardless of team size. You start with the basic package, then add additional lead streams as your ability to handle them grows.

Initially, I got a bit of shell shock from the sticker price for this CRM. $149 per month just for the CRM itself seemed like a pretty steep amount to pay for software that doesn’t really integrate with other platforms. But, seeing the power of lead nurturing and the resulting conversion capabilities, the software justifies the heavy price tag.

Here’s the breakdown of Zurple’s pricing:

    • Zurple system: $149 (includes $10 data services fee)
    • Add-ons:
      • Additional website: $100 per month
      • Lead products
        • Pipeline Boost (social media leads): $10 per lead
        • Search engine lead products (auto leads and auto listings): Depends on city, but generally $35 to $40 per lead

Zurple has invested a lot into its lead nurturing system to maximize leads. Because of that, Zurple doesn’t let agents purchase the lead generation system without investing in the Zurple CRM. It wants to ensure any generated leads have the greatest potential to convert.

I get that. Many companies are moving to walled gardens where they keep everything within their ecosystem. But it’s limiting for agents if they want to use software they already know how to use and love. It requires learning a whole new platform that may be missing some features.

Based on my experience with ad spending, the pricing for Zurple’s lead generation system is expensive. But it is in line with other platforms that provide exclusive leads, especially considering Zurple’s team of advertising pros is doing the work for you. They create the ads and then place them in the optimal times and locations to get the highest rate of return.

I love how much effort Zurple puts into assisting agents to generate leads, but the nurturing system is where the real value is. Zurple’s system runs more like a sales assistant than a CRM.

    Zurple Review Video Walk-through

Are you curious about what life is like as a Zurple agent? Check out Chris’s video walk-through, where he gets full, unfettered access to the entire Zurple platform and shows you precisely what you’ll see when you become a Zurple user.

Zurple Key Features 4.25 out of 5

Zurple is a complex platform. In this section, I’ll detail how Zurple works, what I like about it, and where I think it could improve.

Automated Lead Nurturing + Auto Conversations

This feature is probably the most important differentiator. When leads come in, they’re fed directly into the Zurple CRM, which immediately delivers highly engaging interactions to nurture them.

I’m not talking about a basic welcome email drip sequence. These are complex automated outreach campaigns using email, text messages, MLS market updates, new listings, and more.

The game-changer here is that Zurple’s nurture campaigns automatically adjust as the behavior of your leads changes. So, for example, if you send your lead a property alert and they wind up opening that alert and visiting it 10 times a day, the next step in the campaign progress will be different than if they only opened it once.

Zurple calls these nurturing sequences “Zurple Auto Conversations,” and they’re pretty impressive. I love that this technology also works based on your lead’s SMS text response behavior.

This technology is becoming more essential to running your business, especially if you’re a solo agent. It acts almost like a sales assistant, keeping up with your fresh leads, qualifying them, answering questions, and keeping them engaged, all on autopilot. That frees you from spending time trying to keep up with your marketing efforts while still trying to show homes, go on listing appointments, and all the other fun aspects of being a real estate agent.

    Lead-capturing Websites

Zurple agents start by setting up a market-specific landing page for the areas they’re interested in targeting. This site isn’t designed to replace your primary website—it merely provides specific buyer and seller value to capture contact information.

a Zurple landing page with a lead capture form.
Use landing pages to capture data (Source: Zurple)

While the Basic plan only comes with one landing page, many Zurple agents run multiple pages, targeting different market segments and communities in their region. This makes sense, as the more focused your real estate marketing approach is, the more effective it will be.

Many real estate lead generation companies try to get agents to use their landing pages as company websites because it makes capturing and transferring leads easier. But, these same companies rarely offer the branding, content marketing options, and overall connectivity your real estate website needs to be effective.

Zurple’s agent websites are intended to be used simply as a lead capture device. I love the simplicity and functionality of Zurple’s landing pages, but I wouldn’t advise an agent to use it as their business website.

    Lead Intelligence Scoring

Once your lead has demonstrated certain behaviors, Zurple reviews signs of their readiness to activate as a client. The company will notify you that it’s prepared for you to take over communication.

Zurple lead details page on mobile.
Lead details with Intelligence Scoring (Source: Zurple)

You then remove the lead from the automated communication flow in the CRM, meaning the lead will no longer receive nurturing messages based on their website behavior.

Zurple’s Lead Intelligence scoring is thoughtful and based on the lead’s behaviors. I love how the system prompts you when it’s time to take over the lead communication. There’s no question about when you should jump in because the system, based on the direct lead collection data, tells you. It’s clever how the system prioritizes the leads based on thousands of data points. That way, you can spend more time specifically on those leads who are ready to activate.

    Social Media Marketing Tools

Once you set up your market-specific landing page, you must drive traffic to that page. You can do this through social media tools inside the Zurple CRM. One of my favorite parts is the timeline view, which shows your post history for anything you post from inside the platform.

You can also drive traffic with your marketing, independent website, or paid ads, including those you run on Zillow, realtor.com, and any other Zapier-connected platform. Zurple also offers the option to contract with them to run Google, Bing, and Yahoo ads to drive traffic through search engine results, a logical strategy since their websites are so market-specific.

Zurple Quick Ads for social media (Source: Zurple)

The social media ad templates are sharp and reduce your time, especially if you are new to ads. However, the functionality is limited. This is not the place to do all of your social posts. It’s just a place to promote your listings and Zurple websites.

    Analytics

Zurple does an outstanding job giving you tons of feedback on your progress. You can track everything from how many leads have converted and how many leads have come from each source. You can also tell how well individual agents on your team convert their assigned leads. I love how much information it provides to help you improve your conversion rate after Zurple reviews your data.

Screenshot of dashboard inside Zurple back office, including lead details, activity analytics, properties viewed and more.

    Integrations 3.75 out of 5

One thing about Zurple that I’m not as crazy about is that you can’t integrate with outside platforms. The company prides itself on capturing leads for you and putting them through the lead-nurturing process. Doing that with any external tools you may be using is challenging. It’s basically a walled garden that you can’t use with any other platform. So, if you want to use this platform, it’s an all-or-nothing solution.

However, the platform allows outside lead sources to be fed into the system. You can add your Zillow, realtor.com, and Market Leader leads directly into the software so it can get the same lead nurturing treatment as the leads generated from the Zurple landing pages. That ability can help you develop a higher return on investment (ROI) on the money you spend generating leads from those platforms, which adds significant value to the Zurple system.

Lead Quality 4.3 out of 5

Zurple’s automated lead-scoring system is one of my favorite features. When a new lead comes in through any source, it’s fed directly into the CRM. The automation starts, and that’s where the magic begins. Based on the lead’s response to the lead nurturing efforts, the lead’s score will change. In other words, if a lead opens an email vs one that doesn’t, that lead’s campaign will change. You’ll be alerted to those who have shown behaviors that turn it from a cold to an active lead so you can take over the communication efforts when the lead is ready.

I love this feature! The automated artificial intelligence (AI)-driven nurturing campaigns keep your leads engaged, monitoring their behaviors so you lose fewer of them along the long way. I don’t know about you, but I always found playing the long game in lead nurturing hard. I lost so many leads I generated because they were a year away from making a home purchase. This system prevents that lead loss and helps you convert more leads into sales.

Zurple also helps keep your pipeline filled with leads in different parts of the sales funnel. And you don’t have to become some kind of marketing expert—Zurple has created a system to do it all for you with their Auto Conversations.

    Zurple Alternatives

As awesome as Zurple is, there may be better choices for you and your business. Let’s take a look at some alternatives worth considering.

    Prospecting ToolBest ForPricing
REDXBudget lead gen + auto-dialerA la carte pricing starting at $50 per month
Market LeaderVolume exclusive leads + social media leads$189 for the basic platform + $7 to $30 per lead
SmartZipSeller leads + geographic targeting$299, increasing to $999 depending on market value
Sierra InteractiveEnterprise-level brokerage services, including website, lead gen, lead nurturing, and ad management$500 per month
Real GeeksAll-in-one platform for solo agents$299 per month for up to 2 users

Hey, there’s more than one way to generate leads. If you’re looking for more options to make your lead generation plan fit how you work, check out some of our buyer’s guides below.

Bottom Line: Is Zurple Worth It?

For many agents, the answer is yes. The platform isn’t perfect—Zurple requires a substantial commitment of time and money to maintain the various landing pages and the statuses of the leads that Zurple is nurturing on your behalf.

But these drawbacks are well worth the benefit in potential commission income for experienced agents, large teams, or brokerages. For newer solo agents, this may be more than necessary. There are plenty of more affordable options that might be a better fit.

Many companies are moving to walled gardens like Zurple where they keep everything within their ecosystem. But it’s limiting for agents if they want software they already know how to use and love or opt for something more affordable. It requires learning a whole new platform that may be missing some features.

I do recommend Zurple as a real estate lead generation and nurturing platform for those ready for it. Zurple’s features are well worth the price, the CRM and lead system are intuitive and easy to navigate, and the integrations with other lead sources like Market Leader, Zillow Premier Agent, and others are seamless.

Methodology: Why You Can Trust This Review

Not all reviews of real estate tech products are created equal. I typically approach any reviews from the perspective of a practicing real estate agent who might use the platform. As a licensed real estate agent, I have direct experience using software to run my business. I have personally closed several real estate transactions, generated leads, and developed and deployed a digital strategy in my business. I have firsthand knowledge of what it takes to be successful in this industry.

Leaning on that experience, I evaluated this lead generation software based on the following criteria:

    • Price vs value provided
    • Lead quality and exclusivity
    • User interface and learning curve
    • Analytics
    • Lead nurturing and automation

For this Zurple review, I also used a rubric to weigh the software against its competitors to balance my professional opinion with objective assertions. You can trust that the observations, analyses, and conclusions are mine and represent the position of the editorial team here at The Close.

    Bottom Line

After an intensive look at Zurple and the benefits it offers real estate professionals, The Close is happy to offer this product our endorsement and recommend it to our readers.

The platform isn’t perfect—it is certainly a financial commitment as well as a time commitment to maintain the different moving parts of the various websites and monitor the status of the leads that Zurple is nurturing on your behalf. But, these drawbacks are well worth the benefit in potential commission income.

My Take on Top Producer Producer CRM

Top Producer has been in the real estate CRM game since the 1980s. For some companies, being around for the last 40 years might mean their product is antiquated and stale, but not so with Top Producer. They’ve continued to innovate in the real estate CRM space for decades. And they’ve continued to push the needle forward with some of their latest updates.

I personally think Top Producer is an efficient CRM for real estate professionals, with some high-level functionality and tons of options for lead generation and nurturing. It may not fit the budget of many solo agents in the first few years of their businesses, but could help mid-level agents level up their game and bump up their GCI.

Stay on Top of Your Leads With Top Producer

    What Is Top Producer?

Top Producer is a real estate CRM that includes a lead generation platform with automated nurturing. As part of its latest lead-generating package, Social Connect, the company’s advertising experts create Facebook and Instagram ads to promote your listings and brand to generate leads. Those leads are then sent directly to your Top Producer CRM, where the automated nurturing system kicks in, increasing your conversion rate.

Top Producer, in keeping up with the latest technology, added some artificial intelligence (AI) to the platform. With Smart Targeting, predictive analytics puts you in front of those homeowners most likely to sell, increasing your first contact opportunities and boosting your likelihood of landing more listings.

    Top Producer Pricing for 2023

Top Producer is a little pricey for a newer solo agent, but for seasoned agents, teams, and brokerages, it’s a great tool to help scale and boost gross commission income (GCI) overall.

    PlanMonthly PriceUsersWhat’s Included
    Pro$1291CRM, Market Snapshot
Pro + Leads$4291CRM, Market Snapshot, Social Connect leads
Pro + Farming$3991CRM, Market Snapshot, Smart Targeting
Pro Teams 5$299Up to 5CRM, Market Snapshot, team sharing functionality
Pro Teams 10$499Up to 10CRM, Market Snapshot, team sharing functionality

All Top Producer plans require an initial one-year contract. After the initial year, users can choose to commit to another year or go month to month.

Comparing CRM Competitors Against Top Producer

Top Producer’s Pro plan at $109 per user, per month may seem like a steep price to pay when there are other CRMs that come in way under the $100 price tag. Some even cost less than $50 per month. Here’s a quick breakdown of how Top Producer’s price compares with other CRMs:

CRM PlatformPrice Per Month (Billed Monthly)
    Top Producer$129
    Real Geeks$299
    Market Leader$189
    Follow Up Boss$69
    Wise Agent$32

As you can see, real estate CRM pricing runs the gamut. Some CRMs offer a lot more features and the option to add a la carte services, while others provide basic services to get you started in your business. Top Producer is not the most expensive nor is it the least. But it does offer a lot of services that some other CRMs don’t.

It’s important to note that, though Top Producer offers an integrated website, it’s not included in this monthly price. You’ll be charged an additional $35 per user, per month when you’re ready to take your business to that next level. It’s also not an IDX-enabled site, so you won’t get the benefit of aggregating your MLS listings to your website. Real Geeks and Market Leader feature an IDX-enabled website already included in their monthly subscription prices.

On the other hand, Top Producer includes some lead capture services that CRMs like Follow Up Boss and Wise Agent don’t. For basic CRMs, these platforms are pretty close in user experience and ease of use. Some of these more advanced functions include MLS integrations and branded market reports you can send to your database.

    Where Top Producer Stands Out

So, what does Top Producer offer that justifies that price point? I will tell you that their lead nurturing system, which is built into their CRM, is one of the best around.

The Top Producer team has spent countless hours creating a whole library of nurture communications for both email and text to encourage engagement and help convert leads into sales. And more sales means more GCI. So, if Top Producer can deliver on the promise of better, more fully nurtured leads with less work for agents, then that price tag is more than fair.

    Top Producer Video Walk-through

We know our readers love to see a product’s user interface and understand its functionality in our deep-dive tech reviews. Check out Chris’ tour to get a detailed look at Top Producer’s key features in this walk-through video.

    Key Features

Now that we have a basic understanding of what Top Producer offers and how much it costs compared to other CRMs, let’s break down the platform’s most important features.

CRM Dashboard (4.2 out of 5)

    Top Producer Dashboard

The dashboard for Top Producer is modern, action-oriented, customizable, and designed with busy, multitasking Realtors in mind. I spend a lot of time exploring real estate CRMs, and I’ll just say it: All dashboards are not created equal.

There’s no wasted space here—every square inch of Top Producer’s dashboard is designed for productivity. And, there are enough customization options with this interface that most agents will be able to create their own experience.

If I had any negative feedback, it would be that the white-on-white color scheme is a little hard on the eyes. But, overall, the dashboard experience is definitely a win.

Communication Automation (4 out of 5)

    Top Producer Contact Property Insights

Top Producer’s automation options allow you to create standard email drip campaigns. And with Market Snapshot, you can keep your buyers and sellers in the loop with the latest market data.

But creating more complex email drip sequences that react to behavior—like one email if the previous message is opened, one if it is not opened—is a bit of a pain. Also, you can’t automate SMS text messages within your campaigns. The features are doable—they’re just not as easy as some competitors’ systems. And some things have to be done manually, like texts.

If you’re a high-volume agent or team leader with designs to become the next great automation expert, this might not be the platform for you. But for most agents, these misfires won’t be an issue. And FiveStreet’s lead follow-up system (see below) may take care of most agents’ automation requirements.

I was happy to see that they’ve combined all of their templates, market reports, and other marketing communications under one marketing tab. That’s a nice improvement since last year.

Transaction Management (4.2 out of 5)

    Top Producer CRM Transactions

In the tab called Transactions, Top Producer users can manage active deals, prioritizing tasks, sorting by stage, and more.

Transaction management purists might scoff at my 4.2 out of 5 rating, but hear me out. Yes, the Top Producer platform lacks the ability to communicate with other important members of a transaction team (mortgage brokers, inspectors, appraisers, and so on). Yes, it’s also missing a client-facing portal that allows them to monitor their transaction’s progress.

Knowing this, I still love this feature of Top Producer. This tool hits me and my business needs right in the sweet spot, and I suspect it will do the same for other Realtors too.

Why? Because it provides a really great visual timeline of each transaction—an easy-to-reference spot where I can see exactly what’s been accomplished and what’s coming next for a critical part of my business.

Agents will also benefit from a handy commission calculator and tracker to forecast performance and measure goals. You can also create customized call sheets with all the other stakeholders involved in your transaction, even if you can’t communicate with them from inside the platform.

FiveStreet Automatic Lead Follow-up (4 out of 5)

    Fivestreet Dashboard

Have you ever thought to yourself, “I’d love to get more leads, but I simply can’t handle the follow-up?” You’re not alone. Speed-to-lead response time is critical nowadays, and for many agents, our ability to increase lead volume is limited by our ability to respond and connect in the moment.

FiveStreet is Top Producer’s automated lead follow-up tool that responds to your generated leads with an email or a text within that golden five-minute speed-to-lead window. Top Producer users at any level can access this feature for $25 per user, per month. FiveStreet allows users to choose from any of the dozens of follow-up email or text templates, or create their own.

Fivestreet leads dashboard, sorted by date and lead source

FiveStreet users can leverage this lead follow-up service for any leads, not just ones generated via Top Producer. Whether you’re using Zillow Premier Agent, SmartZip, Market Leader, or any of the more than 150 lead providers they support, you can expand the top of your funnel significantly with FiveStreet automations.

The only issue with this tool is the integration with the Top Producer CRM isn’t perfect. When FiveStreet reaches out to a lead via automated communication, if your lead responds to that communication, their response is not automatically logged in their contact profile. You have to manually enter that communication.

Honestly, this feels like a straightforward fix, something we hope Top Producer will remedy soon, because this would make this tool an absolute no-brainer.

Social Connect (4.7 out of 5)

This is one of the coolest feature upgrades I’ve seen all year. It’s like Top Producer surveyed agents across the country and asked, “What do you need the most help with?” Because they’ve just taken all the work out of creating social media ads. Period.

All you have to do is enter your city and ad budget, and the pros at Top Producer will get your social media campaign up and running within hours, generating hot leads directly to your CRM. You can’t get any simpler than that.

To be fair, these are top-of-the-funnel leads that will need a ton of nurturing to convert. But that’s also where Top Producer will work extra hard to make sure the juice is worth the squeeze with their nurturing campaigns. Basically, it’s a hands-free lead gen system that you never have to touch until the lead shows buying signs. That’s pretty cool.

    Real Estate Website

As a Top Producer customer on any plan, you can access a multi-feature website for a reasonable $35 a month. My suggestion to Realtors is that you take advantage of this website offering, but use it as a secondary site for lead capture.

Why? Their platform lacks a couple of key features, including a native IDX integration—which means that property search functionality isn’t baked into the platform. Secondly, they don’t offer a logged-in experience for your site visitors. Without the data that logging in provides, user activity can’t sync directly to contacts in your CRM and translate visitor behavior into lead profiles.

That being said, you can easily create landing pages and single-property websites, lead capture that does sync straight to your CRM, and a lot more. Top Producer offers easy page creation templates you can use to highlight neighborhoods or specific sectors of your market, which is worth $35 each month. I love what you get here.

The Bottom Line: Is Top Producer Worth the Cost?

Top Producer offers excellent bang for your buck, providing many ways for real estate agents, teams, and brokerages to level up their businesses. The tool isn’t perfect, but its offerings are a great value, and anyone looking for a real estate CRM should consider Top Producer.

    Visit Top Producer

Methodology: Why You Can Trust My Review

I’ve been a licensed real estate agent for more than five years and I’ve tested a lot of CRMs. I evaluate each piece of software as a real estate agent who would actually use the platform in my business.

I created a weighted rubric that I use to evaluate each platform against its competitors to keep things balanced and fair and to add context to my statements.

For this Top Producer review, I looked at pricing, features, and user interface and compared it to other CRMs that offer similar functionality. I used a demo account shared with me by the team at Top Producer.

    Over to You

Remember, the best CRM is the one you will use. So, take my opinion for what it’s worth—an honest assessment of the platform. If you have a different opinion, I’d love to hear about it in the comment section.

Today, more than 20 years later, Wise Agent is still one of the most popular, highest-value CRMs on the market. I’ll show you how and why.

My Take on Wise Agent CRM

Wise Agent is more than just a place to organize contacts and leads. It’s an entire ecosystem that manages your marketing materials, calendars, transactions, drip campaigns, texts, and phone calls. And it does all of that for an affordable price.

It’s absolutely one of the best full-featured CRMs on the market for the price. And while it may not have all of the bells and whistles of a Rolls Royce-level CRM, it is simple to set up, highly functional, and provides above-and-beyond customer support.

    What Is Wise Agent CRM?

Wise Agent is a CRM software that allows agents to manage their contacts from acquisition to close. The creators of Wise Agent want it to be the only dashboard you need. It provides checklists for closings, monitors commissions, facilitates communication, and assigns responsibilities to team members.

For many agents, the idea of signing up for a new CRM conjures apocalyptic images of the world ending. But Wise Agent makes it easy with one-on-one customer onboarding to make the transition painless.

    Wise Agent Pricing

PlanPrice (Paid Monthly vs Annually)UsersWhat’s Included
Basic$32/$27 per month5One-on-one onboarding, lead automation, drip campaigns, customizable landing pages, unlimited document storage, monthly newsletter, reporting
Enterprise Custom (contact Wise Agent)CustomAll of the above, plus customized solutions and API access

Wise Agent offers a hefty selection of features for the price. You get almost all the basic features for around $30 per month, which slays many competitors in this space. You can choose to include a few extra features like additional users ($32 per batch of five), text messaging ($8 per month + $20 registration fee), and lead enhancement ($5 per month unlimited), which scours the internet to get more data on your leads such as full names, companies, social profile links, and more.

This CRM definitely provides enough tools for agents to run their businesses from end to end. And if you want to add on something like BombBomb, which I love to use for video communications with clients and prospects, the integrations Wise Agent offers help create a seamless, fully functional platform for a fraction of what some other software companies charge. I love how customizable it is while already offering practically everything I need to run a successful real estate business.

For comparison, here’s a quick breakdown of Wise Agent’s pricing compared to other CRMs:

    Platform Billed MonthlyBilled Annually
Wise Agent$32 per month$27 per month
    LionDesk$39 per month$25 per month
Follow Up Boss$69 per month$57 per month
Top Producer$129 per month$129 per month
Real Geeks$299 per month$299 per month

As you can see from this table, Wise Agent’s monthly investment is highly competitive with other CRMs of similar caliber. Some CRMs offer a lower price tag, but then you end up spending money on add-ons that bring the price up. While some CRMs listed offer more than just a CRM, they include comprehensive marketing, lead generation, and transaction management solutions. But for agents with less experience with real estate management software, Wise Agent is comprehensive enough for most transaction management tasks, and doesn’t nickel and dime you by charging extra for the cool features, making it a wise investment from the start. (See what I did there?)

    Key Standout Features

Let’s take a deeper look at some of the best aspects of the Wise Agent platform.

    User Interface

I remember the first time I tested Wise Agent years ago. I found the interface to be clunky, not user-friendly, and lacking in some of the more polished features of other CRMs. I’m happy to say Wise Agent listened to the client feedback from their users and has made tremendous progress in improving the user experience on their platform.

While users once described it as dated, in a Windows 98 kind of way, it’s now much more streamlined and sleek. Wise Agent’s features are easy to find, set up, and use. In fact, here’s a blog post in which Wise Agent explains its major facelift and thanks their users for their feedback. You have to love a company that values its users the way Wise Agent seems to.

Wise Agent dashboard is organized and easy to read

    Customer Support

Wise Agent offers multiple channels for customer support including on-demand training and one-on-one onboarding.

Since I’m already talking about how Wise Agent values its users’ feedback, let’s go ahead and talk about its stellar customer support. First, they give you complimentary one-on-one support to onboard you and your database. Then, they offer 24/7 support anytime you need additional assistance.

And the company has tons of training so you can help yourself with online classes, the blog, or just schedule a meeting with a technician. Wise Agent prides itself on exemplary customer support and its team goes out of its way to make sure clients feel good about working with them.

    Easy Contact Management

Wise Agent's contact management page lets agents easily see everything they need in one place.

Adding contacts, one of the most laborious and dreaded tasks of switching CRMs, is actually pretty easy with Wise Agent. They offer so many integrations, it’s simple to import existing contacts from just about anywhere.

Wise Agent uses its lead enhancement tool to automatically search an email address and pull available information from social media accounts. With this tool, a partial lead (just an email address) can quickly become “enhanced” with names, businesses, photos, job titles, and even social media handles. Each user gets 100 free credits each month to use (one use = one credit) but you can easily upgrade to having unlimited credits for just $5 per month.

    The Dashboard

Wise Agent’s main dashboard is all business. The calendar is smartly positioned in the center, below the commission-tracking graphics. A user-friendly set of options along the top of the screen offers drop-down menus that display your main functions.

What I love about the new layout is they decided to keep everything easily accessible. It feels intuitive, so there’s no drilling down a million menus to get one simple task done.

In addition to the calendar, the dashboard has comprehensive time management tools. It’s easy to track recent leads, the call list, task list, and transaction hotlist.

    Integrations

Wise Agent makes it easy to create a CRM that includes all of the tools you need, want, and actually use. The extensive list of integrations means Wise Agent is one of the most versatile and customizable products on the market.

If they don’t offer a service, chances are they have an integration to fill the need. You can easily integrate tools such as Google, Mailchimp, YouTube, and BombBomb, so you might never have to leave your CRM.

    Easy & Customizable Marketing Tools

Wise Agent’s many marketing solutions are perfect for agents who don’t know exactly what they want or need. Here’s a look at the main tools, libraries, and customizable templates Wise Agent provides.

    Drip Campaigns

Like most good real estate CRMs these days, Wise Agent offers marketing drip automation programs that you can assign to a lead or groups of leads.

Setting up a program is simple. For example, let’s say you wanted to create a drip campaign for buyer leads from Zillow. You can choose from a collection of prewritten drip campaigns designed specifically to qualify and nurture buyer leads or choose to design something yourself.

You can include text auto-responders, drip emails, or assigned tasks that trigger based on a schedule you create. Sticking with the above example, you could set up Wise Agent to auto-respond to your Zillow leads via text as soon as they come in, then set them up on a drip email campaign and schedule a follow-up call a few days later.

    Emails, Texts & Letters

Since email marketing is still the king of real estate nurturing outreach, having an integrated email newsletter is a very useful feature.

Agents can choose from dozens of email templates and send out content that is video-rich, customizable, and strategic to help nurture and convert their leads. Of course, you can also integrate email marketing software like Mailchimp if you need more features down the road.

Text messaging typically results in a 98% open rate, ensuring your messages are read by your leads, usually within the first three minutes. You can set up auto-responses, bulk texting, and even add video texts.

And finally, for agents who still love tangible marketing assets, Wise Agent has print marketing. With a few clicks, you can easily customize cards, flyers, and other marketing materials to be printed in-house.

Landing Pages & Lead Capture Forms

One of the coolest features Wise Agent offers is the landing page generator. Using this tool, you can create custom landing pages that capture emails, make quick single-property websites, home valuation pages, and even open house sign-in sheets. Once you have a visitor input their info, it’s fed directly into your CRM so you can easily follow up.

A new addition to the Wise Agent tool lineup is the WordPress lead capture form. When a visitor is on your page, you can implement a call to action, like a pop-up that instructs them to download a helpful checklist or get more information about a listing, in order to capture that lead’s information that’s then fed directly into your CRM as a hot lead. Hooray!

The WordPress lead capture form is a plugin that anyone with a WordPress website can install. Then, simply automate the follow-up with your personalized message and a drip campaign to keep your shiny new lead engaged.

    Transaction Tracking Tools

Wise Agent has tools to track transactions and share information with team members and stakeholders. This easy-to-use system of checklists, contact lists, and unlimited document storage will guide you through the entire closing process.

If their system isn’t as accounting-focused as you need, you can easily link to integrated systems that are more in-depth, like QuickBooks or Intuit, using the Zapier integration tool.

    AI Writing Assistant

Wise Agent's new AI Writing Assistant speeds up content creation.

This newly introduced feature allows agents to quickly create any type of content they need, with the help of an artificial intelligence (AI) bot that uses ChatGPT-3, in minutes. The AI Writing Assistant can create content for your text messages, email drip campaigns, bulk email messages, and so much more, with a simple prompt or topic suggestion.

You can also use the AI bot to nurture your potential leads intuitively by naturally leading conversations, gathering information, and even using emojis to keep the lead warm until you can convert them.

    Wise Agent Alternatives

Even with all Wise Agent has to offer, it may not be the best solution for every agent. For example, agents who are really tech-savvy or want a more customizable CRM product may find Wise Agent too inflexible, which can be frustrating. Or teams that have an integrated website may need a more comprehensive CRM solution that includes more powerful marketing solutions. Here are a few other CRMs that you might consider before you make a final decision.

The Bottom Line: Is Wise Agent Worth the Money?

In my opinion, Wise Agent is an excellent CRM, especially if you’re not a tech head. Some CRMs try to be all things to all agents. They create an all-in-one product that tries to reach everyone but is really tailored for no one. But Wise Agent seems to have avoided this by being a comprehensive solution with enough integrations, customizations, and customer support that it feels concierge.

Ultimately, my verdict is that if you want a full-featured CRM at a tremendous value that can grow with your business, then Wise Agent is for you.

Methodology: Why You Can Trust My Review

I’ve been a licensed real estate agent for more than five years and I’ve tested a lot of CRMs. So, I try to evaluate each piece of software through the lens of a real estate agent who would actually want to use the platform. I created a weighted rubric that I use to evaluate each platform against its competitors to keep things balanced and fair and to add context to my statements.

For this Wise Agent review, I looked at its pricing, features, and user interface and compared it to other CRMs that offer similar functionality. I have tested this CRM more than once since getting my real estate license and each time the user experience has improved.

At the end of the day, the best CRM is the one you will use. So, take my opinion for what it’s worth—an honest assessment of the platform. If you have a different opinion, I’d love to hear about it in the comment section.
