I’m a duel citizen for Canada and the USA and would like to be licensed in Florida and Quebec to help snowbirds who want to move. Could I use my years of experience and jump right to the broker pre licensing course, without the need of taking a salesperson course? Thanks for any information

Hi Ahmad! Yes! You can use your experience in another state to qualify to get a broker’s license in Florida. You must have been an active agent for two of the last five years. You’ll have to take the broker pre-licensing 72-hour course and pass the exam before you can sit for your state exam. But your years as an active agent counts as experience. Good luck in Florida!

I remember seeing somewhere that I can use my years of experience and jump right to the broker pre licensing course, without the need of taking a salesperson course. I understand Michigan and Florida do not share reciprocity. Can you confirm this? I’ve tried calling course instructors as well as the state but I’ve had an extremely difficult time getting a hold of Florida. Course instructors do not know.

Can I start the process of the 63 hour in person/virtual training before I make the actual move?
