Hi Lori! That’s definitely a good point. Boundaries are a big reason why so many agents get burnt out.
Hopefully great brokers like yourself are teaching their agents to set their own boundaries!

I want my agents to hustle, to have real estate at the forefront of their mind. I also want them to have good boundaries, though, because good boundaries are the key to longevity in real estate.

Excellent point! These X factor criteria are very hard to hire for though. Any interview tips to see if a potential new agent will have this attitude?

When recruiting, my criteria is consistent with most broker owners or managers…agents in our market place that are consistent producers but with an unchallenged reputation for doing business with the highest level of integrity. Agents who respect one another, and are willing to applaud the success of others, bringing a positive approach to sharing new ideas and learning from one another. This results in an office culture that is admired by everyone involved, as well as our co-brokes who may not share that same environment. That makes recruiting as well as every day office interaction so much more successful.
